Basic Tips
Help files are the best resource you have as a computer user. Help files enable you to find the answers to many Windows and program specific questions so you don’t have to surrender to defeat.
When searching help files, think of key words that describe what you want to be able to do, or the problem you are having. You may not find what you are looking for with the first keyword or phrase you choose. Find another way to state your case and search again.
Many programs also supply tutorials in their help files, to help you learn about the program and its features.
Remember too that the Internet is a great search tool for information as well. Use search engines like Yahoo! or Google to find web sites that contain tips on using programs.
When working with Microsoft programs, search the Knowledge Base at www.microsoft.com.
