Pork 'n Bean Casserole (potluck)

1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
2 can (16 oz) pork 'n beans
2 tablespoon brown sugar
3/4 cup bbq sauce, bottled; (favorite flavor)
1 tablespoon minced onion, dry
1 cup shredded cheedar cheese
Brown hamburger and drain. Stir in next 5 ingredients, reserving the cheese. Heat until bubbly. Pour into a 2qt casserole, sprinkle cheese over.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes @ 375°F.
(opt: cut a can of flakey biscuits in half and arrange around casserole, cut edge down).
