smoked picnic ham; sized to fit your pot
1 cup molasses
3 tablespoon pickling spice; or whole cloves
3/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup dark brown sugar

Place ham in pot, cover with water, add molasses, and pickling spice. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1/2 hour per pound. Make a bbq sauce of mustard and brown sugar while ham is cooking. Remove ham from water, trim off skin and fat, discard. Slightly score ham. Brush sauce over ham. Place on covered grill and cook over med-hot coals for 45 minutes basting occassionaly with sauce. Allow to cool before cutting and serving.

Serve with Summer Spaghetti Salad or potato salad so that leftovers are great, straight from the frig.

(Opt: finish cooking in oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Have butcher cut 1-1/2" thick slices from widest end of ham until remaining ham is of desired size - grill slices for another meal)
