Pepper Steak

Pepper Steak

1/2 lb sirloin; strips 1/8x2 or so
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 each bell pepper
1/4 lb mushrooms
2 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 cup water

In mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar and garlic salt. Add meat; turn to coat. Allow to marinate while fixing vegetables. Cut pepper into 1/2" slices. Slice mushrooms. In small jar, shake cornstarch with water to blend. In wok, heat oil. Add meat, fry until meat just turns brown. Push to sides. Add veggies and cornstarch mixture. Stir until heated through; cover and simmer 10min.

Yield: 4 servings
