Pop's Biscuits

Pop's Biscuits

2 cup self-rising flour
1 stick butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water; warm

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar and baking powder. Incorporate the water and roll into a ball. Knead dough as much as possible. Roll out 1/2" thick on a floured surface. Cut into biscuits. Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes.

(Opt: Brush tops with melted butter or egg wash. Return to oven and bake additional 10 minutes until golden brown.

(Note to self: try at 400 for 10-15 minutes or 450 for 10 minutes)
