Brownies

--- Brownies ---
1/2 cup margarine; softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup self-rising flour
1 cup cocoa
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
--- Chocolate Frosting ---
1 cup confectioners sugar; sifted
2 1/2 tablespoon cocoa
2 tablespoon margarine; melted
1 1/2 tablespoon milk; (or half & half)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Brownies: Mix margarine and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, cocoa and salt and stir into margarine mixture. Stir in nuts. Grease and flour an 8" square baking dish. Bake at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Spread on frosting.

Chocolate Frosting: Mix sugar, cocoa and margarine in small mixing bowl and beat at low speed with mixer until blended. Add milk and vanilla. Beat at high speed until spreading consistency. Makes about 1 cup.
