Chili

Chili

1 1/2 lb hamburger
2 medium onions; chopped
1 can (10-3/4oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chi
salt and pepper; to taste
1 teaspoon chili powder
3 can (15oz) Bush chili hot beans
1 medium green pepper; chopped
2 tablespoon sugar
1 can (46 oz) tomato juice

Brown meat and onions; add canned tomatoes, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Add chili hot kidney beans, green pepper, sugar and 1/2 the tomato (V8) juice. Add additional juice as chili boils down.

Cook uncovered @ medium for 2 hrs; stirring occasionally.

Adapted from Carol Pratt (Orangeburg, SC) Replace Rotel with 15oz can cut up tomatoes for a milder chili.
