White Rice, Baked (long grain)

1 1/2 cup long-grain white rice
2 3/4 cup water
3/4 teaspoon salt
--- 4 serving 8-1/2x11 baking dish
2 cup long-grain white rice
3 3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
--- 6 serving 9x13 baking dish ---
3 cup long-grain white rice
5 3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
Combine ingredients in a glass baking dish or foil pan. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350°F for 1-1/4 hours. Stir, recover and let sit for 15 minutes. Serve.
Rice and water are combined at a ratio of twice as much water as rice (less a small amount of water)
Some chicken or beef broth may be substituted for most of the water.
