The Sumter County Disabilities and Special Needs Board offers one week residential summer camps for adults and children with developmental disablities.

The childrens camp is open to children ages 5 to 21 and the adult camp is open to adults age 21 and older. Each one week camp provides a real vacation for persons with special needs.



Activities at both camps include hiking, boating, arts and crafts and other recreational activities.

The camps are staffed by qualified trained professionals, including medical professionals. A low staff to camper ratio ensures that quality care is provided at the same time allowing each camper the opportunity to develop skills and interests and HAVE FUN.



Both camps are open to Sumter County residents who have a developmental disability.
