Biographical Sketch

In 1956 after I graduated I went to A.I.C. in Davenport for one year. Then I worked at R.R. Block Co. and later went to Peterson Paper Company and ran a billing machine. Then in 1960 I got married. Had our first child in 1961, so I didn't work away from home. Then in 1962 had our second child (Linda), so I was busy with two girls. In 1964 my son was born. Then in 1966 my sister was killed in a car accident so that wasn't a good year at all. Then in 1968 Dad's health got bad and he died in 1971. We bought a welding shop in Grand Mound the same day that my dad died. So it was a happy and sad day all at once. Then in 1975 my husband lost his job. That was a rough year. Then in 1977 I started to work at Jummers. In 1980 I got hurt by my husband , so in 1981 I got a divorce and raised three children by myself. Then in 1989 Linda got married. We had a church wedding for her. So I was busy making things. Lots of party mix. Then two months before she got married my living room ceiling was cracking so had to get that fixed. What a life. Then in 1992 I finally took a vacation and went to California with Mary and Paul. That was my first plane ride. I really enjoyed that vacation trip. I even rode the cable cars. We got to see a lot of nice things. Then in 1993 my son got married so had a reception at home for him. So I keep busy, it seems. In April my oldest daughter was in a bad car accident. Then in May my three children gave me a microwave for Mother's Day and my birthday. So I guess this brings me up to almost time for our reunion.

I sure hope I can come. I don't have any pictures right now. I may bring my two daughters, not for sure. Hope to see you all May 28th. Sounds interesting.
