Lyrical Structure

This is the overall feel of the song- what all that listing, patchworking, or fluent strucutring is supposed to make in the end.

Character descriptions

Self-explanitory. This can be a description of a strange person, thing, or Al himself in the character he plays in his song. The described object or person can either interact with Al's character or not.

Al's character description:
"When I sit around the house I really sit around the house, you know I'm fat" :   [Fat]

Description of a thing:
"They're creepin' around my shorts, they're under the bathroom sink" :   [Germs]

Description of a strange person:
"No more of those pearly whites will- they possess, their oral hygeine is frightful- a mess" :   [Toothless People]

Person or thing's interaction with Al's character:
"Don't you tell me you're full" :   [Eat It]

Story

Here, Al is tells a story; either involving his character or some other character.

Including his character:
"We caught a ride back to Naboo, cuz Queen Amidala wanted to, I frankly would've liked to stay" :   [The Saga Begins]

About someone else:
"Now Chuck he goes hunting and leaves Diane alone, so she fixes her hair and she talks on the princess phone" :   [Buckingham blues]

"Line"-ing up

Part of Al's genius of parody- his ability to take elements form the original song and use them in similar context, sometimes using the same formats!

Same or similar formats:
Original: "Don't go _-ing (nouns), please (verb) the (nouns) you're used to" [Waterfalls by TLC]
Parody: "Don't go _-ing (nouns), please (verb) the (nouns) you're used to" :   [Phony Calls]

Re-used Elements:
Original: "On my knees day an night sayin prayers in the streetlight" [Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio]
Parody: "On my knees day an night scorin' points for the afterlife" :   [Amish Paradise]
