Labeled as a children's album, this is the absolute rarest of Weird Al Al-bums; it is sadly out of print.
This marks Al's first time collaboratory effort, sharing the billing with Wendy Carlos, who provided all of the music and musical parodies. This is also Al's first classical parody.
If you haven't heard the original Peter and the Wolf and heard the music which accompanies it, then this album will mean little more to you than Al just being silly. Same goes for the other part of the album: Carnival of the Animals Part 2.
Al's version of Peter needs no explaination- but I will say that the voices Al used in it are hilarious! Carnival of the Animals is an entirely different thing. It is a parody of a series of classical music scores by Camille Saint-Saens. Al's porpose in the parody was to add silly poems (obviously geared towards children but can be appreciated by adults) of animals that "slipped" Saint-Saens' mind.
If you are able to get a hold of this album- first, my congratulations, next be VERY glad you've got it! It's a vital part of a Weird Al collection.
